The inaugural Tahoe City Paddle Fest launches June 21-22 as part of the Third  Annual Tahoe City Heart & Solstice Festival.

The two-day event will be held on Commons Beach in the heart of Tahoe City and encompass a variety of activities, including paddling, fishing and sailing clinics, safety instruction, a kayak fashion show, a paddleboarding demonstration and a variety of kayak demos available from Hobie, Wilderness Systems, Eddyline, and Jackson Rec.  A water polo match and a recreational kayak race will also be held, weather permitting. 

Paddlefest is sponsored by Hobie Kayaks, Wilderness Systems, Eddyline, Yakima, and in partnership with the Tahoe City PUD and the Tahoe City Downtown Association.

Paddle Fest will run from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Saturday June 21 and from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Sunday June 22. The kayak race & water polo match are scheduled for 1 p.m. on June 21.

Tahoe city will be brimming with activity during this weekend with a classic car show, a wine tasting event, and a concert on Sunday afternoon from the funk band, Sol Jibe.

A $15 Admission Fee will allow participants full access to kayak clinics, demos, and all Tahoe City Paddlefest events.

Commons Beach is located directly across the street from Tahoe City Kayak's retail location at 521 North Lake Blvd. in Tahoe City.
