The Carolina has many of the
user-friendly characteristics of the Acadia, although it is sleeker
and has a longer keel-line that adds directional stability,
increases hull speed and gives additional stowage space for
equipment. The Carolina is the choice of paddlers looking to extend
their touring horizons without sacrificing stability and easy
control. As well as being great on rivers and lakes, it is ideal
for coastal and estuary paddling which until now has only been
feasible in more advanced sea kayaks.
The Carolina is available in a
standard specification for day paddling and an Expedition version
with hatch and bulkhead systems, thigh braces and chart elastics
for longer trips.
